April 2010 Contest

I am glad to announce that last month’s contest wiener winner is Ver, the one and only participant with her wonderful unofficial entry. And the new contest is to use photoshop to put my head in an EPIC picture. And when I say epic, I mean EPIC. So epic, I’m giving you until midnight EDT on JUNE 30, 2010 to do it. Now I don’t mean me getting peed on by a dog, or streched on the rack, or dissected by aliens. I mean epic like tiny.cc/alu10 . So go, make me proud.

March 2010 Contest

It’s time to announce the winner of last month’s contest. Now it was a very difficult decision, mainly because I only got four entries and they all sucked (at least compared to mine:)

So here it comes, *drum roll* the winner is LEXI, with her giraffe that was slightly better than the other three (mainly because she didn’t insult me or make it girly in any way.)

So the only thing to do now is announce the March contest. Which is…to come up with a debate for me to argue with myself. Yes, this will be a Raul Show episode. So all I want is a debate about two objects. You know, duct tape tuxedos vs. waffle irons, golf balls vs. the Mississippi River, stingrays vs. zebras, stuff like that. So go! Make me proud!!!1!

Full Feb. 2010 Contest Rules

So as you probably already know, this month’s contest is to draw a giraffe. You must create this giraffe in Microsoft Paint. I realize stuff made in Paint almost always looks like it was made by a mentally ill 3-year-old fingerpainting with his tongue. You know, like this:

Yeah, pretty suckish. Which is why I want you to try and make a decent-looking giraffe using nothing but MS Paint. Entries must be submitted by 5:00 pm EST on February 28, 2010. If you’re late, you’re disqualified. If it looks like you used anything but Microsoft Paint, or you use any stock images in it, you’re disqualified. Limit 2 entries per person, and you will be judged on artistic ability. I WILL NOT ACCEPT BRIBES OF MONEY, FOOD, COMPLIMENTS, OR “THE FAMILY CARD.”

By the way, if you think that your giraffe is epicly raultastic, send it to advertisingmonkey72@yahoo.com. Don’t ask why, just do it.

BIG News!

Since the Raul Show episodes take so long to make and I’m not necessarily a person with any amount of free time, you (the fans) are going to be experiencing a lot of boredom on this site. In order to remedy this, I have exactly three things that I’m adding to the Raul Show experience:

Monthly Contests!
That’s right, on the 1st of every month, there’s going to be a contest announced. You will have until the last day of that month at 5:00 pm EST (or EDT if it’s during Daylight Saving Time) to complete the task and send it to my email, raulshowfeedback@gmail.com. Late entries, no matter how epicly raultastic, will be disqualified. So send them in early. Also, be sure to put the month, year, and “contest” in the subject line. Entries will be judged and the winner plus the new contest will be announced the next morning. If you lose, then you’re a loser. But if you win, thy name shall be enshrined in *drumroll please* The Raul Show Hall o Fame. *angelic choir sings* BTW, you’ll also get bragging rights and eternal glory. Yeah, pretty epic. Actually, VERY epic. So enter the contest and win.

The Raul Show Pilot is Complete!!!

Finally!!! Murphy has plagued me for weeks, and I have conquered! I’ve finished the Raul Show Pilot! It’s really Season 1, Episode 1; but I’m calling it the pilot. Tomato, tomahto, same diff. Anyway, I’ve kept you all waiting long enough. Without further adue, here it is:

Since Raul’s old computer went ka-put ka-put, I got a new one. So, my cautious optimism payed off, and the raul show will be on next week! Not sure what day since I have to get used to using Vista, but it should be soon.

Ummm…”minor” technical difficulties

Good news!

The Raul Show is finally ready for all you good peoples to enjoy! =)

Bad news,
My computer (the one with the unfinished raul show saved on it) won’t start up. I was going to finish and publish it today, but the computer refuses to cooperate. I was also going to post a picture to tie you guys over, but that’s also saved on the non-working computer. ARRGGGHHHH!!!!!!! I hate technology!!! I have no idea when it will be fixed, I’m causiously optimistic for sometime next week, but I can’t guarantee anything. All I know for sure is that I can’t finish or post the raul show until it is. I’m deeply sorry.
